Marketing experts saw a long time ago that packages matter. If you would like to sell your ebooks or software items, pack them up. the good news is that you do not need real cartons or paper. There are three standard approaches to making a virtual cover:

- Asking someone to do it for you

- Learning the nuts and bolts of Photoshop

- Using some dedicated software

If you have a a company that can do it for you, the job will not be hard. If the designer is good something about 3D, they will bill you quite a bit. Every product box or ebook cover will round up to $150. The second choice could work if you are handy with Photoshop. To create everything nicely extra action scripts could be needed that are not that cheap. And do not forget the price of Photoshop, of course, which is about $700. The last option is to try and choose from the dedicated boxshot software. It is good to learn that the supply of such solutions is huge with the prices at $15-100. There are a lot of programs to choose from. If we look at these offerings, we will have 3 categories:

Pre-made templates, without free rotation

3D with polygonal rendering

Sophisticated 3D ray tracing soft

Going with the first choice, you ensure that box shot and ebook covers will look nicely, but the selection of tools will be the limited by the templates provided. Making considerable changes will not come easy to the software box or e-book cover. The second choice provides you with more settings, but the simplified model produces unnatural shadows. It is not a problem to observe that the image is somewhat unnatural. The third choice does not suffer from such drawbacks. FXs are calculated for every pixel. In the end, you receive a truly realistic image. If you want to have freedom and quality, you should use the 3rd type of product box. Box Shot 3D is a cool example of such software. At 40 euros the solution is very affordable. It will help you make excellent images of your books and software, club cards and more. There are some images underneath of ebook covers and software boxes.

The dark areas, reflections on the floor and on themselves could not be reproduced in Photoshop without special scripts. And not many such programs would allow you to produce anything of the same quality. The freedom is nearly absolute, change whatever you wish. No software box or ebook cover should be produced without Box Shot 3D. It will give your product a nice wrapping. Sell to the prospect with style. I am sure that Box Shot 3D is the optimal solution for you.
